Justice for Iran

In solidarity with the beautiful and courageous people of Iran.

You can find me at Kateoplis.
Iranian photographer Newsha Tavakolian:

For this series I have made six portraits of professional women singers, who are not allowed to sing solo, perform in public or produce cds in Iran because of Islamic tenets. Inspired by my feelings about my society I have made six extra images, which are also imaginary cd covers with album titles for the singers. The works are accompanied by a six screen video installation with silent clips of their performance.

Translation of above photo: “Remember, this is not who you are.”
